The first night here.
We had a great dinner. Rob’s wife Alicia made a bunch a frittata and a quiche for me since I don’t make with the meat eatin. They all had some of it and steak. We had a series of really great conversations about all the good stuff. W the wonder pshycho and Mel Gibson’s recent anti-jew moments. It was so much fun to be able to speak freely with co-workers without the fear insulting or having to “dumb down” a conversation. Books and film and crazy world figures plus food! It was like a dinner party. After dinner Ron and I got down to more work and went on with that for a bit.
Later I borrowed a phone so I could talk to my girl for a bit. I got five minutes before it died. Deep sigh. Today I am headed in to town to pick up some things I will need for the stay. I really only packed for a stay on a couch so I don’t have the sort of things I need for an apartment. Like covers. I froze my ass off last night. I put on every pair of socks I have and two shirts. Eventually I went and got the towels from the bathroom and used those too. I have had much worse nights for sure but I am just fried this morning.
Ok off for a ride I’ll be back tonight.

Sounds like your having a great time! Things are quite different without you. I miss the dumb downed conversations...LOL

i cant stop laughing about your layering your socks to keep warm!!!! And the towels! HA! I've been known to do that when camping
HEY!!!Guess what!! Since I was bored today I was listening to the oldies like I always do...well they had a call in thing for the Relay for Life and I thought (I know i shouldnt be thinking!) "What the hell I will call and donate". I made a 30 dollar donation to get this really cool shirt and to get my name on the radio...told them to use the business name...you know...a little advertising never hurts..anyway..they announce that I have made a contribution and then they said she has also won the drawing this hour for the RAMS football tickets!! WOO HOO!!!
I dont even watch football..never been to the dome though..so mike and I are gonna go tonight...remember..if you hear the news that a man has drowned in the Mississippi you dont know a thing!!..LMAO
Anywho...its a night away from the kids and maybe I can lose mike in the crowd..hehe. And i also know this had absolutely nothing to do with your post but I had one of those moments where i just had to dish!
