Where the fuck am I?

OK so seven weeks out east with a few quick trips back home for a day or two. I load up all of my stuff on Friday. Get the dogs in the car and drive back 11.5 hours to my little farmhouse. We arrive about 5:30pm and everyone is really happy to be home. The dogs keep running around the outside of the house barking just because. I get the car mostly unpacked and head inside to visit my TIVO. A little later Meghan shows up and we do what your supposed to after being away from your girl/boy for a month. Saturday is spent running around doing errands and just fucking off for a bit because Sunday...I have to drive to Bloomington, eat dinner with Meghan and her folks (they're really nice) and get to bed early. Why? Monday morning, 05:50 my ass is on a plane to Vegas. Six hours and some change later I land in Vegas and am met by some guys from work. We then drive an hour out into the desert and start INTERBIKE. That's the trade show for guys in the bicycle industry. I'll be working 'til Friday about noon when Meghan's plane arrives and I get to spend the weekend with her in Vegas. So right now it's 05:58 local and I've been awake for three hours. The level of general weirdness that Vegas has attached to my time confused brain and general lack of intellect are having an interesting effect. It's very odd here. And man can these women do that whole "I'm not a hooker I just dress like one here." thing. I haven't seen this many boobjobs in one place since I left here last year. Ok I gotta go do something...I think.

ps. Does anyone know if Phaedra got her pup?

Home soon?

Today I headed down to my mom’s farm to get some time in visiting before I head home and to work my way through the laundry list of things that she needs worked on. There is a lot to do but today we just drove to a nearby town to get some hardware for the wood stove. It needs to be re-gasketed and the pipe leading into the chimney needs to be cleaned/replaced. That is some of tomorrow’s work. We also cut some weeds (mom) and trimmed some bushes (me). I played with the idiots a lot too. I have really missed having my dogs around and it’s nice to be able to play with them again. Charlie is sitting by my feet right now and Jackie is out in the hall by the door snoring. Good stuff. I know I promised everyone a big catch up post but it will have to wait a bit longer. There is just so much to do and I leave for Vegas on Monday. I still have to drive across the country and move all of my stuff back into my house on Friday.

Oh hey Meghan is doing a writing project. She is writing a Haiku a day for a year and I made her a blog (Haiku Zoo) to share them with the world. I am going to put a link to down in the links section but here’s a shortcut for now. I have to admit that Haiku’s baffle me but so what. Everyone should have some form of artistic creativity in their life. I have my writing and some funky computer guy stuff. How much do I like having a girlfriend who writes? That’s rhetorical.

Tales from the east coast

Tales from the east coast

Here’s the thing.  I’ve been so busy working at the new shop and preparing for the new web store that I haven’t had 5 minutes to post anything.  I will write a big post about much of the fun/weirdness of the last month soon. Til then here’s a tiny bit of it.  Last weekend I went home for two days to take care of some stuff and to visit with Meghan.  It was a nice trip but 26 hours in the car in four days made me a little nuts.  Last night I ate something that really didn’t like me.  I spent all night vomiting and living on the toilet.  Today I had to stay home and sleep between visits to the can.  Not so much with the fun.  Look I can’t really think that well right now so I’ll just go.
